FOCUS: Planetary Formation, Review, and Test
WOD: a comprehensive list of vocabulary words that will be used, studied, and quizzed the entire year. WOD will be listed in BOLD. Write the date, word, and definition in your planner each day.
Monday: (INDIRECT)
HW: Draw a cartoon drawing of how planets were formed (stages range around six stages). You must use captions to explain each of the steps. Cartoon can be created by hand or electronically. Complete cut-and-paste will not be accepted.
Tuesday: (DIRECT) Carousel Review of Planentary Facts and Formation. Students will divide into groups and rotate around the room answering review questions
HW: Gather notes/worksheets on Planetary Information, Astronomical Units, Gravitational Force, & Laws of Motion
Wednesday: () STUDY SESSION AT LUNCH. Group Review. Take time to look over our group notes and
HW: Study for Planetary Test
Thursday: () Planetary Test Part I
HW: Draw the phases of the moon and label them starting with New moon. On the other side draw and label the phases as they are seen revolving the Earth. Due Monday.
Friday: () Planetary Test Part II. Please bring a good pen to write and coloring pencils, pens, markers, etc.
HW: Continue Lunar diagram.
Reminders:
* GREEN & HEALTHY IDEA (from students): Find a favorite fruit and pick up the fruit at the store for short exercise.
* PARENT/GUARDIAN(S): None.
* MR. APOSTOL’S ADV.: Wear your gym shoes on Thursday.
* DONATION: Used tennis balls
* NEXT WEEK: Astronomy Power Point Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday.
