FOCUS: Biogeochemical Cycles & Ecological Succession

Monday (SUCCESSION/CYCLE)
Morning: Ecological Succession. Why do environments change? Is there a limit to the change? Read and take notes on ecological succession and create a comic strip to indicate primary succession.
Morning HW: Draw a comic strip indicating the primary succession.
Afternoon: Read the section on nature cycles and create a diagram detailing the oxygen cycle. What is the biogeochemical cycle? What is a cycle? How does oxygen go around the environment?

Tuesday (PIONEER/COMBUSTION)- Study session after school
Morning: Compare each others primary succession comic strips. Begin making another comic strip for secondary succession.

MORNING: (PREDATOR/PREY) Introduce organism (consumer & producer) interactions. How do people and other consumers interact? What is a predator/prey relationship? What are some advantages that each has made to survive?
MORNING HW: Adaptations It's a Way of Life activity due Thursday. Must be on standard sized sheet of paper 8.5 * 11.
