FOCUS: Organism Interactions
WOD: a comprehensive list of vocabulary words that will be used, studied, and quizzed the entire year. WOD will be listed in BOLD. Write the date, word, and definition in your planner each day.


Monday
MORNING: (PREDATOR/PREY) Introduce organism (consumer & producer) interactions. How do people and other consumers interact? What is a predator/prey relationship? What are some advantages that each has made to survive?
MORNING HW: Adaptations It's a Way of Life activity due Thursday. Must be on standard sized sheet of paper 8.5 * 11.
AFTERNOON (COMMENSALISM) Introduce organism (consumer & producer) interactions. How do people and other consumers interact? What is symbiosis? What is difference between commensalism, mutualism & parasitism

Tuesday - Study session -
MORNING: (COMPETITION) Why do consumers compete? What is the benefit of this interaction? List 10 examples of how people or another consumer competes in order to improve survival rate.
MORNING HW: Create a quadrant to describe each of the four types of interactions (symbiosis, competition, coevolution, & predator/prey).
AFTERNOON: (PARASITISM/MUTUALISM) What is coevolution? How is it similar to mutualism?
AFTERNOON HW: Create a quadrant to describe each of the four types of interactions (symbiosis, competition, coevolution, & predator/prey).

Wednesday
MORNING: (PREDATOR/PREY) What is a predator/prey relationship? What are some advantages that each has made to survive?
MORNING HW: Finish your Monday activity.
