FOCUS: Biogeochemical Cycles & Ecological Succession
WOD: a comprehensive list of vocabulary words that will be used, studied, and quizzed the entire year. WOD will be listed in BOLD. Write the date, word, and definition in your planner each day.

Monday (SUCCESSION/CYCLE)
Morning: Ecological Succession. Why do environments change? Is there a limit to the change? Read and take notes on ecological succession and create a comic strip to indicate primary succession.
Morning HW: Draw a comic strip indicating the primary succession.
Afternoon: Read the section on nature cycles and create a diagram detailing the oxygen cycle. What is the biogeochemical cycle? What is a cycle? How does oxygen go around the environment?
Afternoon HW: Biogeochemical Cycle WS

Tuesday (PIONEER/COMBUSTION)- Study session after school
Morning: Compare each others primary succession comic strips. Begin making another comic strip for secondary succession.
Morning HW: Finish your comic strip for secondary succession.
Afternoon: How does nitrogen go around the environment? Create another diagram detailing the nitrogen cycle.
Afternoon HW: Finish your oxygen & nitrogen cycle diagram.

Wednesday (TRANSPIRATION/RESPIRATION)
Morning: What is the Biogeochemical Cycle? How does Oxygen go around the environment? Draw a picture detailing all of the major points.
Morning HW: Biogeochemical Cycle WS
Afternoon: How does carbon go around the environment? Create a diagram of the carbon cycle in class.
Afternoon HW: No homework.

Thursday (AQUIFER/PRECIPITATION)
Morning: Ecological Succession. Why do environments change? Is there a limit to the change? Read and take notes on ecological succession and create a comic strip to indicate primary succession.
Morning HW: Draw a comic strip indicating the primary succession.
Afternoon: How does nitrogen go around the environment? Create another diagram detailing the nitrogen cycle.
Afternoon HW: Finish your oxygen & nitrogen cycle diagram.

Friday (TRIBUTARY/EVAPORATION)
Morning: Ecological Succession. Why do environments change? Is there a limit to the change? Read and take notes on Ecological Succession and create a table to place your information in.
Morning HW: No homework.
Afternoon: How does carbon go around the environment? Create a diagram of the carbon cycle in class.
Afternoon HW: No homework.
